hi, I’m Pari!

It’s nice to meet you :) Chances are, you stumbled across this page through my writing. I was previously on the editorial team at Homegrown, one of India’s most exciting independent media platforms. I reported on music, culture, and creatives breaking the mould across South Asia— you can find some of my articles here!

I also post personal essays on my Substack, FayDrops.

I’m a nerd obsessed with digital culture and the relationship between our media consumption habits and social realities. I graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies, Psychology, and Creative Writing in 2024, and I completed my Master’s degree in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics this September. At the LSE, I was awarded a distinction for my research on young female audiences’ perceptions of sexualised performances by women pop stars. Please reach out if you’d like to read my work!

Originally from Mumbai, raised in Manila, previously based in Chicago, and now living in London, my worldview is shaped by my international background. As a lover of the arts and a proponent of social justice, I hope to foster empathy and cultural understanding through my creative endeavours.
